Hi, my name is Dr. Ruth and I support my clients with finding their path to healing with the ultimate aim being to help them be free from the suffering that can accompany the natural pain of life. I support my clients with finding mental and emotional freedom so that they can move past surviving and into thriving.
I incorporate many well known practices into my work, yet the bulk of the work I do with clients is mindfulness based (with an integration of somatic and parts work) as I view building present moment awareness as the foundation to all change. To know where you are and where you want to go you must first be here, seeing what is and deciding with clarity what will be. This is a practice that builds the muscle of conscious change making it so that you have the power to direct your mind where you would have it go and not the other way around. Get control of your mind, get control of your feelings, get control of yourself, then master your life.
At the start of therapy l teach a set of core fundamental skills that we will lean on during our time together—skills that I hope will carry you through your lifetime as I have seen them do for others.
My clients typically start with me when they are ready for change and to seek a different level of truth and possibility in their lives. After working together, once the shadows of pain and difficulty dissipate, therapy may take on more of coaching relationship where you reach a neutral point and ask yourself, how high can I go?
I'm here to facilitate that journey. Thank you for being willing to trust me with supporting you on your path.
